Character Traits
Physical Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Height: 4'11" - 1.2 m
Weight: 91 lbs - 41.2 kg
Hair Color: Dark brown
Hair Style: Her hair reaches down past her shoulder blades in length. Her bangs are arranged randomly across her forehead so they do not obscure her vision. Her hair itself is usually quite sleek and straight, but quite often in mornings it sticks out at every angle possible. The orange ribbon in her hair is mainly there for show but when she enters spars she will use it to tie her locks back into a ponytail.
Iris Color: Amber/ hazel
Skin Tone: Pale with a healthy glow
Body Build: Slight and agile
Facial Features: Kohaku has very large eyes which is one of the first things people notice about her. She has quite a baby-ish face since she has not yet started to mature fully (if at all), and is often mistaken to be younger than she actually is.
Body Features: She is lucky enough to not have any blemishes on her skin; making it look rather flawless. Only if one looks close enough they will see a pale white scar down her left arm that she gained from falling out of a tree in childhood.
Clothing Features:
-For casual wear, Kohaku will almost always be seen in an over-sized orange shirt with a panda face on the left breast area, short blue denim shorts and worn white sneakers.
-While sparring, training or going on missions she will instead wear a more professional attire that consists of; a figure fitting kimono-style shirt in a rich red colour with orange flowers creeping up the left side and a wing symbol on the back, a short dark blue skirt with a slight ruffle effect, knee length black shorts that hug her thighs and red strap-on pumps. She also has bandages wrapped around both her elbows and right thigh over her shorts, and around the bandages on her thigh is a black kunai pouch which is hidden from view. She wears her Konoha headband around her forehead with the silver plate showing through her bangs on dark blue material. Hidden underneath her shirt is a necklace precious to her as it acts as a good luck charm. It is a golden ring hung on a thin silver chain.
Extra Features: None
Personality:
Kohaku has a bit of a 'loveable idiot' personality. She is lively, upbeat and happy all the time; no matter what is bothering her if there is anything at all. She doesn't share her problems with anybody because she believes it burdens other people, but will happily take on board everybody else's problems. She loves feeling like she can help people, and she is always very excitable when it comes to meeting/ befriending new people. Although she can get on people's nerves at times, her innocent charm will eventually win them over.
If she wants to befriend somebody, she will stop at nothing to do so. This applies with everything else as well; she is a determined girl that doesn't give up on anything or anybody. If she makes a promise, she will see it through. If she is in a fight, she will keep going until she can no longer stand. She believes deeply in dreams and aspirations, and is often helping people to achieve their own. As she often states, nothing is impossible, and everybody can do whatever they set their mind to. Sometimes she gives some little inspirational speeches to help people believe in her, in themselves in the world around them. Many would think that she is all talk and no action, but if this doesn't work she will pummel it into them.
Although Kohaku is rather calm and cheerful a lot of the time, she does have a rather explosive temper. It takes a lot to provoke her (if at all), but when she loses it she does so in style. She often takes her anger out on inaminate objects, but if somebody has annoyed her she usually rants at them and/or tries to pound them into the dust.
To fit with her 'loveable idiot' stereotype, she is... well, stupid. If you throw anything logical at her she panics and freezes up; unable to do anything but mutter random words to try and answer a question. She is often picked on for this, called stupid and idiotic. This may be true, but Kohaku does have her moments of genius (even if they are extremely rare). When faced with a crisis, she keeps a level head and nobody would think she was usually frozen at any logical problems. To go with this aspect of her persona, she is extremely gullible and will believe anything that anybody says to her if they seem somewhat serious. She doesn't understand the concept of sarcasm even if she uses it all the time, and no matter how many times somebody explains it to her, it goes over her head.
Overall... she is who she is. She will never pretend to be another person, and she is always sure of herself and what abilities she possesses. Sometimes while she is joking around, this can come across as arrogance, but she always corrects herself when this shines through.
~*~The Dream...~*~Kohaku's aspiration for her life? She has rather high expectations for herself. She doesn't want to be 'just another tool' in Konoha's army, instead she wants to make herself famous world-wide for her skills and ideals. She truly believes in absolute peace and wants all the conflict in the world to cease. No matter how much she is ridiculed for such a seemingly unreachable dream, she will never give up on it.

Special Abilities:
Character Assets:
- Fast Learner; Kohaku is very good at learning Jutsu and many other things (just so long as it doesn't require any logical thinking on her part). Because of this, she can learn things much faster than the average person.
- Determined; Even when her body screams at her stop a fight, she will keep going. She isn't exactly strong, but her sheer will can keep her going longer than the average person at her rank.
- Optimist; Kohaku refuses to think negatively about anything, and will plough through any challenge no matter how impossible it may seem. This optimism has kept her going through a lot.
Character Deficiencies:
- Low IQ; Kohaku isn't really the brightest bulb in the box. She may act clever, but when it comes down to it, she can't wrap her brain round even the most simplest of tasks. It has proven to be a real downfall to her over the years.
- Reckless; She doesn't really think things through before she rushes straight into them. Needless to say, this can cause her, and her comrades some damage. She just can't seem to do stealth.
- Poor Chakra Control; Kohaku is very bad with her own chakra. Her control of it is very poor indeed, and she finds that she is running on empty much quicker than her comrades.

Miscellaneous Details
History:
Kohaku was born into the rather expansive Tsubasa family. They originated from Kumogakure no Sato, but travelled the world long ago; leaving small 'branches' in a couple of the villages they visited. Konohagakure and Kirigakure were the main ones. Although the family was divided, they still kept in very close contact with one another. Even to this day they send scrolls via birds to keep in touch, and they share news with one another from their respective villages. It acts as a small network, and gives the family quite a lot of connections which prove to be very useful when in lands so far away.
Kohaku was the youngest one of two other siblings; the eldest son called Ayumu aged 5, and the youngest son called Hideaki aged 3. Their mother (Kaori Kayo) and father (Shou Tsubasa) were reasonably well off, and lived in a large house near the many surrounding forests of Konoha. They were in a perfect place for the training grounds, but it was quite a long walk to get into the village's main square. It provided a very adventurous upbringing for the children as they could play in the woodlands behind their house, or go to the park which was only down the street. Kaori and Shou's wealth came from hard work as shinobi, and generous amounts of money from their parents to start the new generation of the Tsubasa family.
The three children had an ideal childhood. Their parents were both very loving, yet at the same time not smothering. They allowed the children to go where they pleased as long as they promised to be careful, and they took them to visit their relatives in Kumogakure as often as they could. Shou's brother lived there and encouraged them to meet as much as possible. His family came to Konohagakure to return the favour. Kohaku's early years were never spent alone. She had a large, loving and happy family to look out for her.
Although Kaori and Shou never pushed the children to become shinobi, they were influenced by the past careers of their parents. It appeared that Ayumu had inherited more of his mother's genes by his high intelligence and natural affinity to Genjutsu, as did Hideaki who decided that he wanted to become Medical Nin not long after hearing his mother's stories. Kohaku, on the other hand, seemed to be an exact copy of her father. She wasn't very bright, but had a strong will and heart that seemed to act like a moral compass. She was a daydreamer, and preferred Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu to anything else.
And thus, Kohaku seemed to struggle through the Academy at first. She was disappointed to find that a lot of the work was logically based, and she hated anything of the sort. She started to skip lessons with a few of her friends and continued to get bad grades, yet did nothing about it. Kaori found out at last and really knuckled down on Kohaku; pushing her daughter to study more and not skip lessons anymore. Her mother could be scary when she wanted to be, and Kohaku had no choice but to pay heed to Kaori's words.
Little did the family know, Kaori had been battling bravely with illness for the best part of three years. She finally lost the battle before Kohaku's eleventh birthday, and was burried in Konoha's expansive graveyard. It was a tradition in the Tsubasa family that the eldest daughter would keep their mother's engagement ring when they passed away. Kohaku was desperately worried that she would lose the ring if she wore it on any of her fingers, and she instead started to wear it around her neck on a chain. It has since become a good luck charm for her, and one of the last memories of her mother. She finds comfort in having it there, as if Kaori was watching over her as her guardian angel.
Everybody has their ways of dealing with grief. Shou carried on as normal and often talked about Kaori, suffering in silence but remembering his late wife with happy memories. Ayumu clammed up completely about it, and if anybody mentioned Kaori's name he would just walk away. Hideaki often cried about the loss (even if he'd never admit it), and Kohaku had the engagement ring to remember her mother by. She often went to Kaori's grave and talked to it, brought flowers and sat there on a sunny day as if she was having a heart-to-heart with her late mother. Of course she was sad, but she knew that her mother would never want her to greive or cry or mope around. She would have wanted everybody to go on with their lives and remembered her fondly. Kohaku also found comfort in working extra hard with her studies at the Academy because this would have made Kaori very proud. She would graduate to become a Genin no matter what it took.
And that's just what she did. At the age of twelve, Kohaku became a fully-fledged Genin of Konoha.
It was time to spread her wings and take flight into the shinobi world.
Sample RP Post:
{The below post is from Ultimate Shinobi. My character there is very much like this one, which is why I chose it.~}
It was a bright, airy, and sunny day that Kimiko woke up to. Yet the air had a chilly bite to it, and the leaves were golden brown on all the trees if they hadn't already fallen to the ground and created a crisp blanket. Autumn was one of her favourite seasons of the year because of all the marvellous colours that the leaves on Konoha's many trees turned. It was a time of change, and that was what mainly captured her imagination.
Just like always, she didn't feel the cold. She set out in the late morning wearing a pair of light blue jeans (that she considered warm clothing), a caramel and black striped three-quarter sleeved shirt and orange converse. Her mid-length black hair (since she had not cut it short again) was straight as usual with the choppy style creating slightly spikey layers of texture to it. This was the epitome of winter/ autumn attire, and Kimiko insisted that she was perfectly warm. No goosebumps were risen on her pale skin, and she wasn't shivering with a chill either. It was a miracle how she was never ill.
On this glorious, cold, crisp morning, she was heading out simply to inhale the fresh air. She wanted to embrace her favourite season, and wanted to do so by spending a good portion of her day out in it. Kimiko headed off to a recently found spot of hers; near the Cherry Blossom Creek. At this time of year, she rarely went through the creek because all the beautiful blossoms were shed from the trees. Instead, she opted for more tree-surrounded areas so she could absorb all the rich colours of the fallen leaves. She entered a small clearing, the forest surrounding it entirely apart from a little entrance. From an oak tree hung a rope swing that Kimiko had made herself from her numerous trips out here in the past Autumn months. It was made simply by two thick lengths of rope and a plank of dark wood that she found perfectly comfortable.
She sat on her swing and clasped her hands around the rope on either side of her loosely; craning her head back and gazing up into the almost empty tree canopy. What a marvelous day for daydreaming...
