There are 4 different staff positions on this site. It is setup as a basic hierarchy, with Administrator being at the top. Each staff position must report to the one above them, even if their jobs are entirely different.

Administrator

Nickname: Admin
Rank: 1
Permissions: Admins reports only to the site founder, and otherwise have total control of the site. They can change character sheets, special groups, adjust ranks, create boards, and anything else the Founder can do, except delete the site and manage the 'funds'. All other staff members report to an Admin, and the Admin has the final say in any form of argument, debate, character app, evaluated topic, etc. Members should respect the Admin authority, as they have the ability to IP ban members from the site.
Purpose: Admins are here to maintain order and resolve the most urgent conflicts. Much like the supreme judge of a country. They deal with few 'cases', and only to those cases that are most important and out of the jurisdiction of lesser staff ranks. Admin are allowed to check applications and role plays though, and even evaluate on them, but it is not always to their best interest.

Global Moderator

Nickname: Global Mod/GlobMod

Permissions: Global Moderators are second to Admins, and are given roughly the same permissions. They are allowed to ban members from the chatbox like other mods, and are allowed to file 'complaints' to Admins if a specific member is breaking any rules. They are the Leading Mods of the site, and are all given sub-ranks according to their actual official rank. Plain Global Mods are basically admins without the rights to change actual forum items, such as ranks and groups.
Purpose: Global Moderators are basically the Lead mods of the other moderators. There is 1 global moderator for Canvass Moderator, and 1 for System Moderator, along with any number of Global Mods for the entire forum. The Global Mods are basically there to resolve cases that are not as urgent as Admins, and to settle disputes with their governing Staff rank. Global mods should only be consulted if the other mods fail to respond.

Canvass Moderator

Nickname: Canvass Mod/App Mod/Creation Mod
Rank: 3
Permissions: Canvass Mods are given the permission to accept and judge other member's applications. Anything that requires being applied for, besides upgrades, are judged and either approved or denied by these mods. If one sees this mod's decision as unfair, they may report it to the Global Canvass Mod. If the Global Mod agrees with the Canvass mod's decision, their decision stands and the member should move on. It is possible to debate it further, but that only irritates the Admins and Mods. If the Global Mod disagrees with the Mod's decision, it may end up being brought to the attention of an Admin, where the Staff will decide on the outcome.
Purpose: Canvass Mods are here to accept, deny and judge other members' applications. They are the ones that accept characters, jutsu, summons, clans, spirits, and anything else that requires application. Upgrades are off limits to Canvass Mods, and should not be judged. System Mods are for Evaluations and Upgrades. Canvass Mods have theoretically more permission than System Mods, but are in no way capable of judging their work or assume to be greater than them in Staff power. Requires two Canvass Mod approvals for a topic to be approved.

System Moderator

Nickname: System Mod/RP Mod/Evaluation Mod

Permissions: System Mods are given the permission to evaluate topics and grade them accordingly. It is expected that no biased is executed by a System Mod, although it is inevitable it may happen. The System Mods cannot personally grant Upgrade Points or Mission Points, therefore an Admin is REQUIRED to co-sponsor a System Mod's decision, and then change the Mission Points, Upgrade Points, Reputation and/or Notoriety Points.
Purpose: The purpose of a System Moderator is to keep order in the Role Plays. They are here to prevent people from God modding, meta-gaming, abusing loopholes, forgetting to deduct chakra, and settle arguments of that nature. The are also here to approve of upgrades and evaluations, even though require Admin supervision. They are theoretically the lowest ranked staff class, but are also extremely important. Don't take the job lightly just because they report to every other mod. They still hold higher authority than normal members on the site.
