Travelling on this site is quite easy, and far less time consuming than others may be. If your character is residing in a country, in order to leave that country, they must first post in their current location (ie. village, monument, etc.) that they are leaving that specific location and entering the 'regional' boards. Regional boards are the Forests, Mountains, Plains, etc., where your character can wander freely. The first step may be skipped if the character is already in this board. Next; they must post that they are leaving the country, and state in that post which country they are wishing to enter. You must then wait sixty minutes before posting in that new country. You may only travel to a country that borders your current country either by land or ocean. Therefore, a character cannot just go from the Fire Country to the Earth country, they must first stop by another country and perform step 2 again.
As an added rule, the ninja must know where this specific country is. Just like how in real life, if you don't know the location of an area, how are you supposed to arrive there? The character must either follow another character into the country or have previously visited the country. A-rank characters are able to travel into the country neighboring their country of residence (ie a Konoha Jounin can travel into any country bordering the Fire Country) without having been there before. Once that character travels into a new country though, they require further assistance going from that country to another one, as it is no longer their country of residence. (ie. A Konoha Jounin enters the Storm Country. They require further assistance if they wish to travel to, say, the Earth Country, but no assistance if they wish to return to the Fire Country.)
Finally; once your character arrives in the new country, they may want to go into towns and the like. In order to do this, you must simply post in the village or miscellaneous location that you have arrived, then proceed to do whatever your character wishes. The same rule applies if the character resides in their own home country, and wants to travel to another village within that country.
Here's a basic breakdown of the steps:
Step 1: Leave whatever your current location is by posting in the "Regional" boards. 200 word requirement.
Step 2: Double post in the topic which you started in the Regional board, and state the location your character wishes to go to. 200 word requirement.
Step 3: Wait 1hour (60 minutes).
Step 4: Post in the new country's Regional board that your character has arrived in the country. Place a link to your Step 1&2 posts. 200 word requirement.
Step 5a: Proceed with Step 2 - 4 until you reach the destined country of choice.
Step 5b: OR proceed to post in a village or what-have-you that your character wishes to visit; that they have arrived in the village. You may post in an "Open" topic started by another member. Provide a link to your Regional travelling topic.
Rules:
1.To avoid mass flooding of topics, please make a SINGLE topic in a country's Regional board and name it like so: [Character Name]Travelling Thread (ie. "[Sasuke Uchiha]Travelling Thread"). You may then use this topic if you wish to travel again, or return to the country. This prevents a dozen threads made by the same person stating they are moving from one country to another. tl;dr, place all of your travelling posts for that country in a single thread.
