These rules only apply for RP's and not discussion forums. Make sure you abide by all of these rules when RPing or your post may become invalid.

Rule #1: No God Modding. God modding is the act of doing one of three things. Either controlling the other person's character directly, dodging every attack thrown at you, or believing that none of your opponents attacks can harm you and literally portraying God. Any of those forms of God Modding will result in post nullification and you will be asked to either redo your post or forfeit the RP. RP is automatically forfeit if you do not correct your post within 48 hours of the post time. If the match was a Death Match, your character will die.

Rule #2: Please try to refrain from meta-gaming. Meta-gaming is when one takes information from outside the RP and uses it against the opponent during combat or any form of physical contact. For those of you confused, here's an example:
Person A read from Person B's profile that Person B is weak against Fire. Person A's character then uses fire as their first move during a match with Person B without Person B ever stating during the match that their character was weak to fire.
Also, even if the Person B were to state in their post that they were weak to fire, Person A's character would still have no way of knowing unless the two characters made contact in the past. Meta-gaming is very difficult to avoid and one must learn how to separate their character's emotions from their own so it wont be severely punished. If a mod finds meta-gaming in an RP the perpetrator may be asked to redo their post. Note: As you can see from the above post it can be easy to say "Oh, but my character would have used fire anyway." Such things will be discussed with moderators if seen fit; or if someone complains.

Rule #3: Grammar. During RP, make sure your grammar is as accurate as possible. For more information, read the Forum Rules on grammar. Also, make sure to separate your paragraphs and use complete sentences, not run-ons.

Rule #4: You may only have one character, and one account unless given permission to make a secondary; in which case it must be on a separate account. If you wish to have a second character you must have a REALLY good reason for it. A second character may be given as a reward for an Event, and if so, the Admin(s) will discuss the situation and restrictions with you personally. Also; all characters must start out as Genin unless there is a Global Announcement that has openings for other ranks such as Chuunin and Jounin. If you cannot find such an announcement, odds are there are no openings and you should start with Genin.

Rule #5: You must use the template provided by the site for any applications. This is to make sure that plagiarism is less common. If you do not use the template provided you will be asked to redo your app. Also, please refrain from deleting your entire post if you decide to redo your character. It makes the site look sloppy and is entirely unnecessary. Do not create a new topic for your character either, unless specifically asked to by the staff.

Rule $6: You may not RP in either of the Nation boards without having your character approved by one of the staff first. If you do, your post will be removed and you will be given a warning. A second offense will freeze you from posting on the site for a week.

Rule #7: Please post the chakra remaining for your character and whatever jutsu you used during that post at the bottom of your post in spoiler tags. This is to help staff and the other people posting to know exactly what jutsu you used; and ensure that you didn't meta-game or god mod.

Rule #8: Your character may be in up to two RP topics at once. All event challenges or mini-spars (non-recorded fights) do not count toward the two. Also; the posts must remain in the same village and/or country even if your character is a Missing-Nin, or Wanderer. That means you cannot do a post in Kirigakure no Sato (Hidden Mist Village) and then have another post in the Fire Country. Your character must not be in any RP's if they plan on travelling.

Also; if your character learns something new, for example in a training topic, they may not use this newly acquired skill in any topic started before this skill was learned. For example; if you begin a combat RP with someone, then do a training a few days later, everything learned in the training cannot be used in this combat RP because the character had no knowledge of this technique at the start of the battle. tl;dr: You may only use jutsu you knew before the topic started.

Rule #9: There will be no limits on how many times you may use Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) and Kawarimi no Jutsu (Change of Body Stance Technique). The only restriction is the chakra requirement to actually use this technique. This helps prevent people from rapidly spamming it over and over and never taking a hit. Both techniques require 5 chakra per use.

Rule #10: The staff decides whether or not a technique is over powered or not. They also decide on what defines over powered. Therefore, avoid arguing with staff for whatever decision they make. It's perfectly fine to defend your case, but not to criticize their decisions.

Rule #11: You have 36 hours to reply to a topic that involves your character, unless there is a turn-order; in which case you MUST follow this turn-order. If it's your turn though, the 36 hour rule applies. The starter of the topic may reduce the time to no less than 24 hours; and requires the consent of at least one other person posting in that thread. Special occasions may reduce the time it takes to reply, and these occasions will be defined by the staff ONE WEEK before this event occurs. The exception to this rule is the Chuunin Exam, in which case you are given 24 hours by default.

Those are all of the RP rules for now. More may be added at a later date.
